While I haven't done this....yet. Jerome brought up a great point on Thursday night. SHOULD desserts fall under the healthy/portioned lunch or dinner? Heck, right now I would even include breakfast!
Also, if this is a six out of seven day challenge...then wouldn't Sunday the 5th have been everyones FREE day for week 1? And we have the option of picking a day Sunday thru Saturday for week 2. Because, I want to use a day next week after this child enters the outside world. Sitting in the hospital having to watch what I eat would be a real bummer.
One more...for right now....WHO came up with 8:30? And in which time zone are we talking? Softball starts at 7:15 and gets over at 8:30. UMM!!! NOT FUNNY! Then, Miss Tiffany, brings cupcakes? Unsportsmanlike conduct! 15 yards or points!

Ok Billy, I can clearly see that you are going into a meltdown. And after our conversation this morning, I feel compeled to try to help. Here are some ideas that might help you to cope. First off if you pick Tuesdays for your free day then softball won't be an issue for you. I realize that might not work for this week, but it would after lil Josie is here. Next I am working up some recipies for some desserts that will be sweetened with honey and not sugar so they can be eaten as dessert without breaking the rules. I will get them too you soon as I can. I hope this helps. Talk to ya later. Sommer
ReplyDeleteOkay Billy you make me giggle the things that go on in your head. I think Sommer had some good ideas! :) You should listen to her because women are always right! Oh and I believe you in Billy you can do it! :)
ReplyDeleteOk, from the boss lady!
ReplyDeleteBill - first off, dessert is NOT part of a healthy portioned meal. The rules say, no sweets with suger. Most dessert contains sugar unless you do what Sommer is suggesting. so it doesn't matter what meal you do it with. It's not ok if you want that point.
Second, The challenge starts over every Monday. Monday is the first day of the week. Sunday is the last. SO, if you had a free day {like Mark picked last Monday as his} then he may not have another one until tomorrow. Then he can have ONE in the next week {ending July 19th} If picking your own free day is too challenging we can have everyone have to do Sundays {which is no fun but if this is too difficult then maybe...} :)
Thirdly, I got the rules off the website and frankly 8:30 is more than fair. Most "diets" say stop at 7 or 8.
And finally, the idea of this challenge is to bring about discipline and empower ourselves to say NO when tempted. So, Tiffany is NOT breaking any rules. You are more than welcome to indulge in the cupcakes, you just won't receive the points. The world will not stop making sweets just because we can't have them....
So, there you go. Hope this helps :P
Thank you Jill. That is exactly what I told him. And I am making some desserts with honey instead of sugar for Thursday night this week, so there will be no more excuses for whining from the ultra-mega-super rule nazi. And if you were hungry after softball, then eat before. I WILL NOT BE WEARING ANY PLAID AT THE END OF THIS TWELVE WEEKS. Bring it on, Billy Boy!
ReplyDeleteYou go Jill and Tiff you both make me laugh out loud and I love it! :) So there Billy! Just deal! :)
